About me and my art
That is how I do art; there is no real motive other than expressing how I feel about or see or have an urge to present and interpret whatever has inspired me to make art. My art pieces do not have any other driving force like a vested interest in people or nature, or ancient Greek myths. I truly am someone who does art in the spur of the moment, and by doing that, I feel like I will never get bored of it and will always find new ways to express myself.
I am not some seasoned veteran in art, so I am still learning and discovering who I am as an
artist and my preferred method and mediums. As of right now, I tend to use painting and drawing with
graphite pencils as my chosen mediums, but I try and expand my horizons little by little with every work
I do. I tend to stay away from color, but when I do use it, it is because the colors used have a meaning
that otherwise could not be conveyed without it. Due to my art and the mediums' ever-changing nature,
the things I try to communicate vary significantly.
Sometimes I try and express the first thing that comes to mind when I think of my inspiration. This is not always the case, though. I enjoy doing things spontaneously but when I feel like I need practice or am doing a study of some sort, I take my time and really focus on what I am trying to achieve, and that usually takes more thought and planning so I can figure it out.
Sometimes I use sudden bursts of color to draw the viewer's attention, others I only use black and white, or graphite, to make the viewer take it all in and not just one element in particular. I have even been doing works that are in full color (paint only though) to test my limits, lately.
Sometimes it all about a theme or a feeling, and for others, it is only a reproduction to practice a skill and techniques. There is often no rhyme or reason to my art, only an intense need to express myself in any way I feel inspired to do it. That is just who I am as an artist.
